UPCOMING EVENTS IN DOWNTOWN REIDSVILLE
Downtown merchants hold their annual spring open house
the second weekend in April. Shops feature special sales
throughout the weekend. There are food vendors, musical
entertainment, the Farmer's Market and more. In 2007,
the EZ Street Cruisers Car Club held a "cruise in" during
the "Spring Shop, Stroll & Cruise In" weekend, sponsored
by Smith Stokes. Other "cruise ins" are planned for the
second Friday of each month from 6-9 p.m. from April
to September (April 13, May 11, June 8, July 13, August 10
& September 14). All are sponsored by Smith Stokes.

It's the
New Farmer's Market Complex
Designs for our new "Farmer's Market Park" (not yet named)
on the
corner of South Scales and Settle streets have been
approved by the RDC
and the Downtown Merchants' Association.
They are now in the hands of
Greensboro architect, Tom Moreau.
Once this step is complete we will
embark on our capital campaign
to match public funding for this
project. The park will include a
new pavilion for the Farmer's Market
and other special events,
a band shell for hosting concerts and green
space for days
and evenings in the park.
